First Year Analyst

Who are we?
Investment Solutions is one of four product families in Fixed Income & Currencies within Corporates and Institutions. The area service core clients in the Nordic area in both the institutional segment and private wealth. The client offerings are spread across several asset classes e.g. Equities, Credit, Rates and FX. Structured Derivatives Trading is the product engine for Investment Solutions team, which services our internal and external customers globally in derivatives-based investment products and solutions as a part of the Danske Bank overall investment offering. From risk management and modelling perspective it’s the most complex trading position. The unit has been identified as one of the growth areas within FI&C. You will join a highly motivated team based in the center of Copenhagen, with branches in other Nordic countries.

Your role
The role requires a high level of quantitative and mathematical skills combined with a genuine interest and understanding for the financial markets. You will support the team with structuring and pricing of new products to clients. Together with sales, you will use your strong communication skills speaking to our clients about new trade ideas and opportunities in the market, current valuations of derivatives and take part in the execution process. In addition, you will assist on the trading desk with daily hedging, PnL consolidation, price and risk analysis and with development of new tools. We will tailor your future role depending on your interests and skill set.

Your profile
You have a strong academic background with a M.Sc. in economics, finance, mathematical economics, engineering or a related study with an excellent academic track record. Extensive Excel skills is important and it is a great plus if you have programming experience. In addition you have a proven interest in the financial markets, derivatives pricing and in the practical use of options.

As a person you excel when working in teams and you like to take initiative.  When the situation requires it you are comfortable using your strong analytical skills to solve problems independently. It is a quality to be helpful, curious, organized, and creative with a keen interest in other people.
